Peace Theological Seminary & College of Philosophy (PTS) is the educational branch of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA).

MSIA teaches soul transcendence—becoming aware of yourself as a soul and as one with God, not as a theory but as a living reality.

PTS offers experiential education on practical spirituality—an approach that focuses on how to incorporate spirit into our everyday lives in tangible, meaningful ways. We support using everything in our life to expand and grow in ways that allow us to relate to the world from the inside out, from our loving center, and to explore the nature of our true essence as a soul.

John-Roger was the founder of MSIA and PTS—he was a prolific writer and speaker. He authored many books and delivered thousands of seminars where he spoke about spirit in ways that ranged from the hilarious to sacred.

PTS and MSIA present tools, techniques, and practices that direct us to the loving that is our divine essence. Our key teachings are universal and non-denominational, designed to support you in awakening into greater awareness of your own connection to the source of all teachings—the divine presence within each of us. As we work with spiritual teachings, new and richer experiences come forward. You do not need to believe or have faith, as you will know the truth of your soul by your own experience.

PTS programs and classes are offered in person and using online technology to connect our global community. They are designed to give you the opportunity to explore the lessons of the physical and spiritual worlds, deeply connect with your true nature, and become more aware of the divinity in and around you.

Students of PTS’s Transcendent Leadership Program examine universal, spiritual truths through the works of many leaders, scholars, philosophers, and spiritual teachers, including John-Roger and John Morton.

Like other seminary programs, the TL coursework is grounded in foundational texts related to the seminary’s approach to soul transcendence. The foundational texts we work with are the Soul Awareness Discourses and other books and recorded seminars by John-Roger. These books and others by many writers, historical and contemporary, are used to explore personal and professional leadership as a spiritual or soul-led practice.

MSIA teachings are designed to support each of us in our own personal relationship with spirit, the divine presence, God, the Light—that thing that cannot be named, and with which humans infinitely seek connection and understanding. Principal tenets include:

  • Not one soul shall be lost.

  • God loves all its creations.

  • Use everything for your learning, growth, and upliftment.

  • Take what works for you and leave the rest.

MSIA and PTS offer a unique formulation of universal teachings and spiritual practices that has been attracting people of diverse personal and spiritual backgrounds for more than fifty years. Of course, some of us think that living these teachings of spirit as living love is the greatest thing going. As our spiritual director, John Morton says, If you find something better we want to know about it! We also know that these approaches to living a life of unconditional loving and honoring the soul’s journey are universal spiritual teachings that are to be shared widely and lived freely. They are not the proprietary teachings of any specific church or teacher, but rather the gifts of spirit to all who are open to receive and live them.

We cherish the opportunity to make these teachings available in the way that we do, and celebrate the free nature of spirit that provides so many ways to grow in awareness of divine love and bring our hearts together.

The faculty of the Transcendent Leadership program invite you to join us as we explore the principles of leading a life of soul transcendence through living love and deep connection to the divine presence of spirit.
